favorite pasttimes include confusing friends and strangers with my dead-pan humor, leading hour-long yap sessions about whatever ive hyperfixated on at the moment, sneaking in memes and obscure references into every conversation i can, planning outings/trips because everyone around me is incapable of making a single fucking decision, and bedrotmaxxing to recover from the unending stress of being alive.

daytime hours are spent saving the environment and listening to a constant recitation of the communist manifesto. nighttime hours are usually spent trying to to decide what to eat for dinner and watching Sims 1 longplay no commentary youtube videos.

why am i here, on neocities, you ask? multiple reasons

  • capitaliism: the commodification of the world and my viseral need to fight against that. everything we have, who we are, what we experience, what is available to us. all of it has been captured by capitalist to make a profit and not just physical space
  • privacy: this may seem weird but i like the fact this space is difficult to find. for various reasons, being easily found on the internet is not what i want. but once you find it, you'll be getting EVERYTHING hahaha
  • creativity: everything on- and offline is so lifeless. no whimsy. great example: drove past this car wash two days ago called "Castle Car Wash." now BaCk In mY dAy, that car wash would've had battlements and a fucking moat and the sign would've been a crown. but it was just a rectangle with brick accents. old man shaking fist at cloud aside, i want some whimsy in my life and i love creating silly lil spaces like these. and not to harp back to the first point but the profit motive kills creativity
  • nostalgia: i would be lying if i said this doesn't play a part also. i never got to fully experience the "old web" due to the conditions i grew up in but i've always admired it. so now as an elder, i'm going back and experiencing what i couldn't before
